VIDEO - Andrew Moore's weekend wrap

Manly appears to be right back to where it was in 2007 with their attack now matching the Sea Eagles brilliant defence.

They were pretty awesome yesterday in crushing Brisbane 30-12 at Suncorp Stadium…having been 10-nil down midway through the first half….they dominated from that point on.

Matt Orford had a sensational second half… as did Jamie Lyon… much maligned Test prop Brent Kite was very strong.

After a sluggish start to the season, the Sea Eagles over their past couple of games appear to be back to their best, and that spells danger to Melbourne and the other challengers.

Parramatta stumbled and bumbled their way to a 19-18 win over another stumbling-bumbling team… St.George-Illawarra at ANZ Stadium.

Look, this was watching a game between two very ordinary teams… and I didn’t think I would be saying that about Parramatta.

Brett Finch proved the hero with his match winning field goal 6 minutes from full time…but he owed the Eels after having so many kicks charged down.

The one good thing to come out of the game… the form of Nathan Hindmarsh. He’s getting right back to his best for Parramatta - starting to get some offloads back into his game… and actually making some of his many tackles every game count.

He won’t be in the NSW team for Origin I…. But if he keeps up this form, don’t be surprised if we see him during the series.

Elsewhere on the weekend… Brett Kimmorley produced his best performance of the season to lead Cronulla to a much deserved win over North Queensland in Townsville….

The Sydney Roosters flogged a pathetic Canberra at the SFS… with Willie Mason unstoppable in the opening half an hour…

The second half seemed to take about 8 hours.

Penrith’s resurgence continued by thrashing an under strength Bulldogs team… the Panthers are only outside the top eight on percentages… while the Bulldogs don’t have anywhere near the depth to cover for the injury problems they have.

And back on Friday night, the Australians raced to a 22-nil lead early against the New Zealanders, and were never going to be headed… but the Test will also be remembered for the most incredible piece of athleticism you’ll ever seen by Greg Inglis.

Tipping that ball back for the opening Australian try - it was a once in a lifetime thing.

And I’ll always remember this weekend for the passing of someone who had an enormous impact on my life… and hundreds of others… Jack Gibson.

What a great, strong, humble man.

I’ll always remember this weekend for the passing of someone who had an enormous impact on my life... Andrew Moore
