Nate Myles facing eight week ban

AAP | 03/07/08 | 0

Queensland enforcer Nate Myles faces up to eight weeks suspension for his ugly lifting tackle on NSW prop Ben Cross in tonight's Origin win at ANZ Stadium.

Myles was charged with a grade three dangerous throw and with his loading from a similar charge in last year's Origin series, is confronted with a ban of between six to eight weeks.

His Sydney Roosters NRL club side have asked for the case to be heard at a later date so they can view all video footage before entering a plea.

The Roosters have a bye this week and if Myles cops the maximum penalty he would be ruled out until the final round of the regular season.
