Ricky says Sharks ready for Canberra conditions

Canberra legend Ricky Stuart has experienced more wins in the nation’s capital than anyone else, which is why he believes his Sharks have what it takes to beat the Raiders on their home turf.

The Raiders are renowned for their performances at home, and will go into tonight’s clash with the in-form Cronulla side as favourites.

But Stuart says the Sharks can make it four straight wins in Canberra tonight, despite the wintry conditions suiting the hosts.

"Some teams go down there and they probably complain about the conditions," Stuart told Fairfax.

"It'll be cold, it'll be wet, it'll be slippery, but it's not going to bother us. We've worked really hard on our attitude, and our mindset.

"We don't care what the conditions are going to be. Whatever's dished up… if you don't have the right mental application, you won't play your best football."

A Raiders win would see them jump past Penrith and Parramatta and slip into the top eight, while the Sharks can join league leaders Manly and the Roosters with two competition points tonight.

It'll be cold, it'll be wet, it'll be slippery, but it's not going to bother us. We've worked really hard on our attitude, and our mindset. Sharks coach Ricky Stuart
